Raúl may return to the Bundesliga in the short term. The current coach of Real Madrid’s reserve team stands according to Goal namely high on the wish list of Eintracht Frankfurt. The number four in the Bundesliga is looking for a successor to Adi Hütter, who will leave for Borussia Mönchengladbach after this season. Raúl, as an attacker very successful at the Royal, played as a player for Schalke 04 between 2010 and 2012.

Raúl has already had an initial meeting with the Frankfurt administration. During this meeting it was agreed that a few more meetings would take place after the end of this year. Frankfurt first wants to focus fully on securing a ticket for the Champions League, while the former Real attacker wants to close the season as well as possible with Real Madrid Castilla. Then there is time to further discuss a possible adventure in Frankfurt.

According to Goal Raúl has been followed by Frankfurt’s technical leadership for about a year. With the Real Under 19 team, he managed to conquer the UEFA Youth League last year at the expense of Benfica. In addition, with Real Madrid Castilla he is still in the race for promotion to the second level in Spain. Under the leadership of Raúl, Victor Chust, Miguel Gutiérrez, Sergio Arribas and Antonio Blanco, among others, managed to make the step to the first team. The foursome already got playing time from trainer Zinedine Zidane.

What also speaks in favor of Raúl are the two seasons as an attacker for Schalke. As a result, he already knows the German football culture and will therefore have few adjustment problems, as is expected in Frankfurt. During his time in Gelsenkirchen, Raúl scored 40 goals in 98 games. Afterwards he played for Al-Sadd and New York Cosmos. In 2015 Raúl ended his impressive career.
