Cristiano Ronaldo will not create divisions in the Manchester United dressing room, assures Marcus Rashford. The rumors about the division that has arisen within the selection of the Red Devils have been doing the rounds for several weeks and were confirmed by last Tuesday after the Premier League game against Brighton & Hove Albion (2-0) BILD† According to Rashford, however, nothing is right and the attacker ends up on Twitter in a fierce discussion with journalist Christian Falk.

Much has been written in English media in recent weeks about alleged turmoil behind the scenes at Old Trafford, but United players continue to insist that there are no problems within the squad. Rashford, on the other hand, could no longer bite his tongue and has reacted fiercely to new claims from BILDjournalist Falk. The German journalist stated on Twitter on Wednesday that the rumor that Ronaldo would cause problems within the selection is true.

“The English players like Harry Maguire, Marcus Rashford & co are annoyed that Ronaldo wants to run the dressing room with his own clique. There is a risk of a split within the roster,” wrote Falk, who has more than 300 thousand followers on Twitter. Rashford subsequently suppressed the rumors with his own hands. “Do you make it up where we stand?”, is the reaction of the United attacker. “Please stop creating division.”

Falk, however, refuses to be dismissed as a liar. “That’s not true, and you know it, Marcus Rashford,” the journalist replies to the 46-time England international. After three consecutive official games without a win, United recorded a hard-fought victory in the Premier League against Brighton & Hove Albion on Tuesday evening. Ronaldo gave manager Ralf Rangnick’s side the lead in the second half, while Rashford started somewhat surprisingly from the bench, having been in the starting line-up in the previous three games. This time he had to make do with a fifteen-minute substitution.
