Radja Nainggolan will play in the Jupiler Pro League, Belgian media write. The 33-year-old midfielder, who had his ongoing contract with Internazionale terminated this week, will fly to Antwerp on Friday to sign a two-year contract with Royal Antwerp FC. Various clubs therefore miss his signature.

Earlier this week, Nainggolan kindly thanked you for the Great Old, because Besiktas had made a much better financial proposal. The veteran also had an offer from his ex-employer Cagliari and attractive proposals from the Middle East. Royal Antwerp increased the first proposal on Thursday evening thanks to a generous signing bonus and the former Belgian international eventually agreed.

Nainggolan can earn around four million euros in two years at Royal Antwerp. At Besiktas, the overall picture would still be higher, but the midfielder prefers Antwerp to the Turkish national champion. The switch from Nainggolan to Antwerp is of course very sensitive in the city of biscuits. He is an ex-youth player and also the current ambassador of arch-rival Beerschot AC.

Nainggolan never played in the Belgian league. The midfielder was seventeen years old when he made the switch from Beerschot to Piacenza and since then he has only played in Italy. He wore the uniforms of Cagliari, AS Roma and Internazionale for years and had his best years in the jersey of the Romans. In the 2014/15, 2015/16, 2016/17 and 2017/18 seasons he made as Giallorosso part of the Serie A Team of the Year.
