Sam Lammers is probably facing PSV’s departure. The rush hour traffic is emphatically associated with a transition to Atalanta and la Dea now seems to be reaching an agreement. The usually well-established Sky Italiajournalists Gianluca Di Marzio and Fabrizio Romano announced late Friday night that the deal had been finalized, except for some formalities.

PSV will reportedly receive nine million euros for Lammers. This amount can increase even further through a bonus construction, which makes it seem as if the residents of Eindhoven have got their way. Atalanta initially offered seven million to Lammers, while PSV apparently have a asking price of about ten million in mind.

According to reports from Italy, Lammers is expected in Bergamo in the coming days for the medical examination. PSV visit FC Groningen on Sunday afternoon in their first Eredivisie match of the season, but it is not yet clear whether Lammers will still be there. It was reported earlier Eindhovens Dagblad that the goal scorer would only play if no improved bid was received. However, it seems that Atalanta has now come up with this improved offer.

Lammers made a good impression under new coach Roger Schmidt in the preparation and apparently will be able to decide next season along with Maximiliano Romero and Donyell Malen who will fulfill the striker. Schmidt now has the last two players, while he can also use Cody Gakpo, Bruma, Noni Madueke and Joël Piroe up front.
