Donyell Malen will make the switch to Borussia Dortmund, it reports Eindhovens Dagblad. The German top club has reached an outline agreement with PSV about the 22-year-old striker, who must already undergo a medical examination in Germany this weekend. PSV will leave Malen ‘at thirty million euros’, although some clauses are still being negotiated. Ajax receives one and a half percent of that transfer fee, while Arsenal touches one percent.

Malen was given a longer break from PSV after the European Championship to complete his transfer. The attacker would report to De Herdgang on Saturday to resume training, but will probably not get around to that. The intention is to have Malen join the selection of Borussia Dortmund as soon as possible. BVB is currently on training camp in Switzerland.

It is still unclear exactly how much PSV will have left over from the sale of Malen. That depends, among other things, on the agreements that are made with Mino Raiola. The agent of the the Dutch international is entitled to a part of the transfer fee, although the terms of this could still be changed in the negotiations. In addition, the transfer amount will partly consist of bonuses, of which it will only become clear later whether they will actually be paid out.

More soon.
