PSV has concluded a unique collaboration in the world of cryptocurrency, the Eindhoven residents announced in a press release. PSV commits itself to the company Anycoin Direct for two seasons and thus becomes, in its own words, the first club in the European Union to have its sponsorship money paid out in bitcoin.
Given the rise of the crypto market, PSV was looking for a sponsor in that niche. The Eindhoven residents were approached by several foreign parties, but with Anycoin Direct from Veghel they consciously chose a company from the region. The company says it makes it possible to trade in cryptocurrency “easy and reliable”.
Frans Janssen, commercial director of PSV, is enthusiastic about the collaboration. “The possibilities and the future that the world of cryptocurrency offers are very promising,” said Janssen. “As a club in the heart of the Brainport region, we are always innovating, cryptocurrency fits well in this picture. To enter into this partnership with a reliable party that opts for a personal approach is very important to us as club.”
Lennert Vlemmings, coo at Anycoin Direct, is happy with the sponsor deal. “I grew up in the region and have always been a PSV member. As a technology company from the Brainport region, we are enthusiastic about the collaboration with PSV. We want to increase the awareness of crypto in the Netherlands and introduce people to it in a safe and accessible way. Payment in bitcoin marks the next step for cryptocurrency adoption in the EU.”
