PSV has its eye on Davy Pröpper, it reports Eindhovens Dagblad. The Eindhoven team regard the 29-year-old midfielder from Brighton & Hove Albion as an ideal reinforcement for next summer. Pröpper is stuck in England until mid-2023 and is usually on the couch this season.

Brighton is asking ten million euros to buy off Pröpper’s two-year ongoing contract, according to the regional newspaper. It is said that this is negotiable. Pröpper is in its fourth season in the south of England. The current number seventeen of the Premier League paid thirteen million euros to PSV in 2017 for the midfielder, who was invariably the basic player in his first three years.

The nineteen-time the Dutch-international has struggled with several injuries from the start of this season and has usually had to settle for a place on the bench since he is fit again. Pröpper only had a starting place twice this season in the Premier League and was allowed to come in five times. That is in stark contrast to his first three seasons for Brighton, when he came to at least thirty league matches each time. Pröpper played two seasons for PSV from 2015, which took him over from Vitesse. In Eindhoven, the midfielder took the national title in his first season.
