Sam Lammers has been emphatically linked to a transfer to Atalanta for some time now, but for now the striker is just a PSV player. It Eindhovens Dagblad and Football International report Monday afternoon that for the time being there is still no progress in the case, as there is still a gap between supply and demand.

PSV has according to the Eindhovens Dagblad a new offer from Bergamo on Monday. This would be an offer of around eight million euros, including bonuses. However, his employer does not agree and has let the proposal run. According to previous reports, PSV has an amount of about ten million in mind for the 23-year-old striker.

Despite reports in the Italian press that an agreement would already be on the table, the parties are still a few million apart, according to the Dutch media. PSV is reportedly taking a tough stance on this, as it does not, in principle, want to sell Lammers. Only a higher bid of la Dea therefore seems to be able to move the issue forward.

Despite the rumours of a transfer, Lammers remains on good terms with coach Roger Schmidt, who simply set him up for the Eredivisie opener against FC Groningen on Sunday. PSV will meet the entourage of Lammers again in the coming days to discuss the further course of events.
