PSV is interested in Chicago Fire striker Jhon Jáder Durán. That reports the Colombian journalist Pipe Sierra. However, the people from Eindhoven are not the only interested in the eighteen-year-old Colombian, because Liverpool, Lille OSC and Eintracht Frankfurt would also show interest. PSV has had to do without the injured Luuk de Jong for some time, and the club does not yet have a pure striker who could replace him in the future if necessary.

Durán, who can also play as a left winger, was acquired by Chicago Fire from Colombian Envigado at the beginning of 2022 for 1.7 million euros. Since then, he has played 26 MLS appearances, scoring eight goals and being a principal five times. Of those 26 competition games, the 1.85 meter tall Durán started thirteen times in the starting lineup.

Durán still has a contract with Chicago Fire until the end of 2024, but according to journalist Sierra, he can leave the club for ten million euros. If PSV is willing to deposit that amount, it may therefore face competition from a number of other clubs. For example, Durán is followed on behalf of Liverpool by the scout who previously assessed the Colombian Luis Díaz.

In the last international match, Durán made his debut for the Colombian squad. He replaced Radamel Falcao halfway through the game against Guatemala (4-1 win). He also came in as a substitute in the subsequent international match against Mexico (2-3 win), by replacing Díaz just before time. He did not score in either game.
