PSV is willing to do a lot to bring in Eran Zahavi, reports the Israeli branch of Sport1. The 33-year-old striker of the Chinese Guangzhou R&F can, according to the sports channel, sign a contract for no less than 2.5 million euros per year excluding bonuses in Eindhoven. This makes Zahavi, who can sign for two years, by far the best paid player of PSV.

On Tuesday the Israeli channel had the scoop that PSV is after Zahavi, a message that was later confirmed in the Netherlands by, among others, the Eindhovens Dagblad. One day later adds Sport1 that Zahavi also sees a transition to PSV itself. The experienced centre striker will have to make a lot of money for this, because he is reportedly earning ten million euros a year in China.

Earlier in the Dutch media there was talk of an annual salary of 1.5 million euros for Zahavi at PSV, but in Israel there is talk of a much higher amount. For a long time, the people of Eindhoven had a maximum basic salary of 1 million euros per year, but now they seem to let go of that. Zahavi will remain with Guanghzou until December, but will be allowed to leave the club where Giovanni van Bronckhorst is trainer.

Now that PSV is in serious negotiations with Zahavi, it seems that the technical leadership is seriously considering a departure of Sam Lammers. The Eredivionist will only attract the Israeli striker if Lammers leaves. The latter is in the serious interest of Atalanta. It Eindhovens Dagblad and Football International reported on Monday afternoon that for the time being there is still no progress in the business, as there is still a gap between supply and demand. PSV is demanding ten million euros for Lammers, while Atalanta did not want to go beyond eight million euros plus bonuses.
