Mohamed Salah is the lead candidate to replace Kylian Mbappé at Paris Saint-Germain, it reports Le Parisien. After the elimination in the Champions League against Manchester City, the French superpower is seriously taking into account a departure from Mbappé, who is emphatically followed by Real Madrid.

Mbappé’s contract in Paris expires next summer and contract negotiations with the 22-year-old attacker are difficult. Given the deadlock, PSG is preparing for Mbappé’s possible summer departure. Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are in the picture, but attracting the attackers from Barcelona and Juventus respectively is complex. Messi can be recruited transfer-free and Ronaldo for a relatively low fee, the salary requirements of the star football players are sky-high.

Salah, according to Le Parisien therefore considered a dream replacement for Mbappé. The 29-year-old attacker of Liverpool would be ready for a departure after four seasons and be allowed to move for at least eighty million euros. Salah, who is on hold until mid-2023, has not yet spoken to Liverpool about an extension of his stay. “Nobody in the club talks to me about anything so I don’t know,” the Egyptian said slightly annoyed to me on Monday. Sky Sports.

Mauricio Pochettino, the trainer of Paris Saint-Germain, is very fond of Salah. The latter would fit in perfectly with the Argentinian’s playing style because of his speed and play between the lines. Salah is also ideal in his eyes because of the defensive work he provides in reclaiming the ball. The Qatari owners of PSG also reportedly regard Salah as an ideal reinforcement. The club management has been dreaming of an Arab and Islamic star at the club since the takeover of the club.
