Paris Saint-Germain choked on Sunday in Stade Brest. The Ligue 1 leader lost a 2-1 lead just before the end, so they had to settle for a point. However, PSG remains proudly in the lead with six points ahead of number two OGC Nice. Stade Brest remains the surprising number three.

It had been a while since PSG didn't win. Luis Enrique's team last lost points in mid-December, when they visited Lille OSC, and on Sunday there also seemed to be nothing to fear.

PSG were in control and broke the spell just under five minutes before half-time. Marco Asensio scored with a bounce after a phenomenal chip from Bradley Barcola.

With the 2-0 score before the break, the Parisians seemed to be on a roll. After an interception in midfield, PSG quickly combined towards the opposing box, where Randal Kolo Muani was in the right place to tap in behind Brest goalie Marco Bizot.

It seemed to be a long evening for Bizot, until his team suddenly scored the tying goal. Danilo Pereira tried to block a Brest attempt, but to his frustration saw the ball end up behind Gianluigi Donnarumma through his own body.

Brest got the spirit and was rewarded for their diligence ten minutes before the end. The goal was one to remember: substitute Mathias Pereira Lage scored a wonderful backheel after a pass from Martín Satriano.

Emotions were high at PSG, and Barcola was sent off with his second yellow card.
