Carlos Forbs is in the interest of clubs from the Premier League, among others, it is known Football International to report on Monday. However, the Amsterdam club does not want to exchange the wing attacker, who was recruited by Ajax last year, for an adventure elsewhere after six months.

Burnley is said to be one of the clubs that has reported to Forbs management. The low-flyer in the Premier League has now also spoken with Ajax, but cannot count on a transfer deal. Forbs wants to go for his chance in Amsterdam.

According to Football International A number of unnamed clubs are following the situation surrounding Forbs with the necessary interest. Ajax is in any case prepared to listen to offers for the Portuguese left winger, who is contracted to the Johan Cruijff ArenA until mid-2028.

Last summer, Ajax paid 14 million euros for Forbs from Manchester City. This amount can increase even further due to various bonuses. However, the Dutch adventure has not been a success for the time being, as Forbs is mainly used as a substitute.

Forbs signed for five years in Amsterdam, but is no longer a basic player under interim coach John van 't Schip. Steven Berghuis is preferred on the right wing, while captain Steven Bergwijn is the first choice on the left wing.

The Portuguese youth international has played 25 official matches so far, most of which as a substitute.

Freek Jansen does not rule out that a few more players will leave Ajax during the winter transfer window. The editor-in-chief of Voetbal International announced last week that there would be 'movement' around Forbs, among others.

“I think some players will still leave,” Jansen said Grab Scale Podcast. “There is some movement. There is some movement around Forbs and another player. But that also depends on the boys themselves. At the same time, this selection is not that broad,” the journalist said.
