Mark Pabai continues his career in Italy. PEC Zwolle announces through the official channels that the 21-year-old wing defender has successfully completed an internship at SPAL in recent days, where he signs a contract and joins the second team. Pabai only played for PEC since last summer, after he was taken over from FC Utrecht.

In the first half of the season, Pabai made eleven appearances for PEC, eight of which as a basic player. Despite the fact that he was still part of the match selection for the cup match with NAC Breda (2-1 defeat) on Wednesday evening, it was already clear that there was no future for him in Zwolle. Pabai trained with the Under 21 after the winter break, as a result of multiple conversations about ‘the required discipline and the focus on PEC’.

For that reason, Pabai received permission to complete an internship at SPAL last week. The current number fifteen of the Italian Serie B was relegated from the highest level in 2020. PEC writes on its website that it is the intention that Pabai will join the second team of SPAL for the time being.
