Manchester United now seems to have put the arrival of Jadon Sancho out of mind and are therefore switching the Red Devils on to alternatives. Ousmane Dembélé is currently most emphatically associated with a move to Old Trafford and talks about a transfer from the Frenchman are said to be positive.

ESPN reports Friday afternoon that Paul Pogba plays an important role in Manchester United’s plan to bring Dembele to the Premier League. Pogba knows his possible new team-mate well as they play together for the French national team and the midfielder has recently been in touch with Dembele in an attempt to convince him to choose Manchester United.

L’Équipe adds that Dembélé would like to play in the Premier League and is now approaching a personal agreement with Manchester United. The transfer fee could, however, cause complications: Barcelona wants to sell Dembele instead of renting it out and Manchester United will not exceed fifty million euros for the time being. However, the Catalans wish to receive a higher amount for the attacker who was attracted for at least 105 million three years ago.

Barcelona is keeping a low profile for the time being with regard to a possible departure of Dembélé: “Firstly, there are currently no negotiations underway with Manchester United, we deny that in all keys. He is a player we count on, we know his potential. We hope that the team will see its best game this year ”, technical director Ramón Planes noted on Friday during the presentation of Sergiño Dest.
