Ronald Koeman must map out his final European Championship selection in the coming months. To his own dismay, the Dutch national coach is only allowed to select 23 players and has to make a lot of difficult decisions.

Mike Verweij and Valentijn Driessen expect that Koeman has already filled 20 spots in his European Championship selection. The selector first looks at quality, but also considers fitness and the attitude in the group in his choices.

In defense, Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool), Matthijs de Ligt (Bayern Munich), Nathan Aké (Manchester City), Lutsharel Geertruida (Feyenoord), Quilinschy Hartman (Feyenoord) and Daley Blind (Girona) appear to be in defense, according to the journalists of The Telegraph certain of participation in the European Championship. This also applies to Inter defenders Stefan de Vrij and Denzel Dumfries.

Sven Botman will have to cancel the final tournament in Germany due to a cruciate ligament injury. Frimpong ultimately stayed on the bench for ninety minutes.
