The air between Riechedly Bazoer and trainer Thomas Letsch at Vitesse is already ‘largely cleared’, writes The Telegraph. The defender has been disciplinary suspended for the game against AZ on Sunday afternoon at 4.45 p.m. However, he is expected to return to training in Arnhem from next week.

Bazoer would have kicked on Friday’s training with teammate Daan Huisman and then went into a verbal battle with Letsch and captain Remko Pasveer. Letsch subsequently suspended Bazoer for the game with AZ. At Vitesse, the playmaker has repeatedly come into conflict with former trainer Leonid Slutsky in the past and he came to blows with Jay-Roy Grot during training. According to The Telegraph there is a big difference with last year’s incident: Bazoer immediately repented this time after his emotional outburst.

He apologized after training and therefore Letsch considered letting him play against AZ and hand out a penalty in a different way. A part of the players, however, was of the opinion that Bazoer went too far over the line against Letsch and that a suspension should follow, it sounds. Intensive talks were held on Saturday afternoon, which has largely cleared the air. It is expected that Bazoer will reconnect to the training field after the weekend.

Bee ESPN Ronald de Boer says he regrets the incident, as Bazoer played ‘great’ this season and he was named as a candidate for the upcoming pre-selection, which will be announced later on Sunday by brother Frank. Ronald calls Bazoer a repeat offender. “If things don’t go well for a while, they explode.” Kenneth Perez thinks the suspension is ‘a mortal sin’. “We don’t know exactly what happened, but this could also be a reason for other clubs to say, ‘No, we won’t make it anyway.'”
