Keylor Navas has extended his expiring contract with Paris Saint-Germain, the French superpower reports through official channels. The 34-year-old goalkeeper has signed until mid-2024 and will therefore also be under the bar in the Parc des Princes for the next three seasons.

Paris Saint-Germain decided in the summer of 2019 to pick up Navas from Real Madrid, where the Costa Rican had lost his starting place to Thibaut Courtois. The marriage between Navas and PSG has turned out to be a success, as the goalie has been the undisputed number one with the Parisians for almost two seasons. The 92-time international has now made 72 official appearances for PSG; in exactly half of that he kept the zero.

In Paris, Navas has won four prizes so far. Last season, the goalkeeper and his club became national champion and he took both French cups (Coupe de la League and Coupe de France). He also won the French Super Cup with PSG last summer. He also reached the final of the Champions League with his employer, which was lost to Bayern Munich in August. At the moment PSG is second in the French league. In two days, Mauricio Pochettino’s team will play the first semifinal of the Champions League against Manchester City.
