Manchester City are planning to loan Kayky out again next season, transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano assured on Tuesday. The 21-year-old Brazilian winger will choose between Sparta Rotterdam and Shakhtar Donetsk in the short term, Romano added to his report on X.

Kayky, full name Kayky da Silva Chagas, has been under contract with Manchester City since mid-2021, who paid ten million euros for him. His contract at the Etihad Stadium runs for two more seasons, although it is questionable whether Kayky will ever break through under manager Pep Guardiola.

The young winger has only played ten minutes in the first team so far the Citizens. A substitute appearance in the FA Cup and an appearance of just a few minutes in a Premier League match.

Kayky has had to make do with playing time in Manchester City's reserve team for the past three years, with additional loan spells at Portuguese side Paços de Ferreira and EC Bahia from his native Brazil. In January of this year, Kayky returned to England.

Kayky, who has not played this calendar year due to a knee injury, is originally a left-footer, although he prefers the right flank. It is now clear that he will also play outside Manchester in the 2024/25 season.

According to Romano, Sparta and Shakhtar Donetsk are fighting over Kayky. It is not yet known whether the winger prefers the Eredivisie, or whether the top club from Ukraine seems a better option to him.

If Kayky chooses Shakhtar, he will have to deal with Marino Pusic. The former assistant coach of Feyenoord has been head coach of the powerhouse from Donetsk since last year.
