Lazio is preparing an offer of eighteen million euros for Santiago Giménez, the Mexican reports TUDN. The 22-year-old striker is having an excellent first season at Feyenoord and is reportedly followed by several major clubs. The Spanish sports newspaper ASH know that Giménez is also high on the wish list of Atlético Madrid and Internazionale.

Giménez scored twenty goals in 41 official matches for Feyenoord. Before he left for Europe, he was also Mexico’s top scorer, where he scored five times on behalf of CD Cruz Azul. With his scoring drive, the striker has now aroused the interest of Atlético, Inter and Lazio, among others. The Romans would even be so concrete in the market for the attacker that an offer of eighteen million will soon be submitted to Feyenoord. Giménez’s father will talk to general manager Dennis te Kloese in the short term to discuss the offers for his son.

The usually reliable Portuguese journalist Pedro Sepúlveda announced at the beginning of this month that Benfica is in talks with Santiago Giménez’s agent. The first contact would have already been made. Oh Glorioso seems to be very interested in the services of the Mexican international. For the time being, Feyenoord’s asking price, which is said to be 20 to 25 million euros, is a major stumbling block for the Portuguese.

Giménez came over from Cruz Azul last summer for an amount of approximately four million euros. Where he often had to ‘share’ the striker position with Danilo in the opening phase of the Eredivisie season, trainer Arne Slot has given him confidence as a permanent starting force since the end of January. In Feyenoord’s last seven matches, Giménez was accurate five times.
