Nottingham Forest are considering their options after the 0-2 defeat at home on Sunday. The Tricky Trees on

Everton eventually managed to win the crucial relegation match 0-2. Goals from Idrissa Gueye and Dwight McNeil ultimately proved to be enough for the win. Have to go through the second point reduction the Toffees still fear relegation.

Halfway through the first half, Forest's players claimed a penalty for the first time. Ashley Young touched Giovanni Reyna on the foot with a ball that fell between both players. The American fell to the ground, but Anthony Taylor and video referee Stuart Attwell did not see a penalty.

Just before the half-time signal, Forest once again thought about a penalty and again it was Young who played a leading role. After a cross at the far post, the former Manchester United back appeared to touch the ball with his hand: no penalty

After more than ten minutes in the second act, the third and final appeal for a penalty followed from Forest's side. Once again, the alleged violation concerned Young's role. After a great through ball, an alert Callum Hodson-Odoi came in for his man Young. The wing attacker went down, but was not rewarded with a penalty.

Luton's social media department immediately spat fire at

With Luton being a key competitor for Forest in the battle for enforcement, the club wanted him removed from the competition. It didn't happen, and that puts bad blood on the club.

“Three extremely bad decisions,” the club writes on X. “Three penalties were not given and we simply cannot accept that. We warned the PGMOL in advance that the VAR is a Luton fan, but they took no action.”

“Our patience has already been tested several times,” the club continued, referring to previous refereeing decisions this season. “Nottingham Forest is now considering its options.”
