Juventus suffered an expensive loss of points on Saturday evening in the battle for the national title in Italy. The club from Turin drew 2-2 against Hellas Verona. One of Hellas' goals came in the name of ex-Eredivisionist Tijjani Noslin. Juventus remains second, with nine points less than Inter. Moreover, he still has a duel in hand. Hellas is eighteenth.

A total of three former Eredivisie players were in the starting line-up. On the Hellas side it was Noslin and Tomas Suslov, at Juventus Filip Kostic was allowed to show it from the first minute. In addition, two other old acquaintances in the Netherlands started on the bench: Elayis Tavsan (Hellas) and Arkadiusz Milik (Juventus).

After an opening phase without any real big opportunities, Hellas suddenly took the lead in a brilliant way. A corner was headed away and ended up on the edge of the penalty area at the feet of Michael Folorunsho. He decided to take the ball out of the air in one go, after which his volley sailed beautifully into the intersection: 1-0.

Juventus leveled after half an hour of play. Jackson Tchatchoua made hands in his own penalty area, Dusan Vlahovic took advantage of the penalty awarded: 1-1.

After the break, Noslin experienced his highlight so far in the Hellas shirt. The attacker, who came over from Fortuna Sittard this winter, put his team at 2-1 by sliding the ball under goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny from close range. It was his first goal for the Italian club.

However, Verona could not enjoy the new lead for very long. Adrien Rabiot scored the 2-2 three minutes later in the long corner, after he was given a lot of space in the enemy penalty area.

In the remainder of the match, both teams were dangerous a few times, but thanks to both goalkeepers, the game ended in a division of points.
