FC Twente recorded a convincing victory over Ajax (3-1) on Sunday and AZ managed to beat Sparta Rotterdam (2-0). Although Michel Vlap did not score any goals or provide any assists against Ajax, the Frisian was the absolute trendsetter in the Twente team. Hanging from the left, Vlap was a plague for Devyne Rensch, who was constantly lost to his direct opponent and was even substituted at half-time. In his new role, Vlap plays like reborn, which means he has fully earned his place in the Team of the Week.
Anyone who had said ten years ago that Alen Halilovic would one day be under contract with Fortuna Sittard would have surprised many people. The Croatian left foot, who played for AC Milan and FC Barcelona in the past, was important against FC Volendam (3-1 win) with a goal and an assist.
