Club Brugge qualified for the eighth final of the Croky Cup on Wednesday evening with great difficulty. On a visit to third divisionist Patro Eisden, the team of coach Carl Hoefkens needed an extension to book a 0-2 victory. Noa Lang was the big hero, as he scored both goals in extra time.

Just like Lang, Bjorn Meijer was also allowed to show himself from the first whistle, while Patro Eisden also had a Dutchman in the base with Henk Dijkhuizen. Club showed its bad side and could thank goalkeeper Simon Mignolet: the closing post kept his team going with several fine saves in the final phase. Although Club was the dominant party, they failed to break the spell. In the end, the extension paid off.

In minute 102, Hans Vanaken set Lang free in front of the enemy goal, after which the creative outwitted goalkeeper Jordi Belin with a lob: 0-1. The final chord was played in the injury time of extra time, and again Lang was credited with the goal. He was sent off by Casper Nielsen and remained icy calm in the finish: 0-2.
