Lang stood out in a negative way on Boxing Day, as he took his second yellow card outside the lines. While the official reason is “unknown,” he may have grabbed his second yellow print in the catacombs when he ripped the Cercle Brugge logo from the wall.
In the 26th minute of play, the unfortunate Lang took his first card. Although there was still no problem for Club at that time, they had to concede two goals after the break. Senna Miangue provided the opening goal on behalf of Cercle, after which David determined the final score in the last minute of regular time: 2-0. The defeat apparently led to so much frustration with Lang, who couldn’t control his anger and pulled Cercle’s club logo off the wall.
