Noa Lang boarded a flight to Dubai immediately after the 2-0 defeat against Cercle Brugge. On his Instagram Story, the Club Brugge attacker shares a photo from the plane, which departed from Amsterdam for the United Arab Emirates. Lang stood out in a negative way on Boxing Day, as he took his second yellow card outside the lines. While the official reason is “unknown,” he may have grabbed his second yellow print in the catacombs when he ripped the Cercle Brugge logo from the wall.

In the 26th minute of play, the unfortunate Lang took his first card. Although there was still no problem for Club at that time, they had to concede two goals after the break. Senna Miangue provided the opening goal on behalf of Cercle, after which David determined the final score in the last minute of regular time: 2-0. The defeat apparently led to so much frustration with Lang, who couldn’t control his anger and pulled Cercle’s club logo off the wall. This was probably the reason for the race management to give Lang his second yellow card. He will therefore be suspended for the home game against Sint Truiden.

sporza writes that a red card for Lang was “inevitable.” “For ninety minutes, Noa Lang faltered on the competition management, triggered by the solid play of Cercle Brugge. Even afterwards, Lang struggled to keep his emotions under control. Club’s tastemaker, who never found his best level, flirted with a second yellow and received it after the whistle for unknown reasons,” the report reads. Afterwards, trainer Philippe Clement did not want to waste too many words on the incident surrounding his pupil. “I don’t know exactly what happened with that second yellow card, but it’s very unfortunate anyway.”

A few hours after the match, Lang places a photo on his Story from the plane, which is on its way to Dubai. In a second Story, he seems to respond to the criticism he received from Belgium for his action. “Love you too. Enjoy your days,” Lang writes, closing the message with a heart.
