Ajax is again prepared to think along with Nicolás Tagliafico this summer. Director of football affairs Marc Overmars has drastically lowered the asking price for the 28-year-old left back, he knows The Telegraph. Tagliafico can make a transfer for ‘only’ twelve million euros.

Last year Ajax already took into account an outgoing transfer from Tagliafico. Then the same newspaper wrote about an asking price of 25 million euros. There was no concrete interest and the Argentinian played an extra season in Amsterdam. The Telegraph expects that given Tagliafico’s age it will be difficult to sell him even for an amount of twelve million euros.

Recently, the Argentine TyC Sports that Tagliafico, who is still with Ajax for two more seasons, is one of the three candidates for the left back position at Internazionale. The national champion of Italy is also thinking of Emerson Palmieri (Chelsea) and Filip Kostic (Eintracht Frankfurt). Vice-President Javier Zanetti is said to have already had contact with his compatriot Tagliafico, who is preparing with Argentina for the Copa América.

If the South American leaves Ajax, Overmars will knock on the door of AZ for Owen Wijndal, according to the expectation of The Telegraph. Technical director Max Huiberts of the Alkmaarders recently informed Football International that the probability of a transfer is small. “I have been technical director of AZ for five and a half years and have never seen a traditional Dutch top club report for a player of ours,” said Huiberts. “Let alone that an offer has been made. In the outside world this remains just an item, while I have never had to deal with it. Apart from that: why would Owen want to play in the Eredivisie again at another club? He is already playing All his matches for two years with great ease, very special. He has completed the Eredivisie level.”
