PARIS Saint-Germain’s star player Neymar has reached a personal milestone in his team’s 2-1 Champions League victory over Atalanta on Wednesday.

The Brazilian played a key role in his team’s dramatic victory in their quarter-final against the Serie A team to secure their place in the semi-finals.

Neymar’s assist with Marquinhos’ first goal means he is only the 12th player in the history of the Champions League to have managed a full 25 assists.

The skilled striker also contributed with the second goal. That was when he combined with Kylian Mbappé who in turn gave Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting the chance to succeed.

The 28-year-old Neymar is the first player from Brazil to be able to do that.

On top of that, the former Barcelona striker could also be promoted to the top-10 list.

Neymar will still get a chance in PSG’s upcoming semi-final, which will be decided next week.

However, Neymar is still behind the record holder in the competition, Cristiano Ronaldo, who has an almighty 40 assists behind his name. – Sports editors
