Jeredy Hilterman has been immediately removed from the selection by his club NAC Breda. The striker openly flirted with his old employer at the FC Emmen championship party on Friday and indicated, among other things, that he regretted his switch to the Breda club this winter. “I’m also human and I made a mistake”, can be heard in the images that ESPN made during the championship festivities in Emmen.

NAC will have to do without Hilterman in the last phase of the season, after he was removed from the selection by the club management as a result of his statements at the Emmen championship party. The attacker made the switch from Emmen to NAC this winter, but seems to regret it six months later. “I am also a human being and have made a mistake”, the striker addressed the Emmen supporters during the ceremony, only to ask the Emmen fans where they would prefer to see the striker play next year. “Where should Hilterman go?! To which club?!” Hilterman asked the fans, who had a clear answer to that. “Emmen!”

“You don’t know what the future will bring, but I have a very good feeling at this club”, the goalkeeper started his story in front of the camera of ESPN† “This club will always remain in my heart.” When the reporter asked Hilterman whether the attacker found it difficult to see his old employer promoted to the Eredivisie as a player of NAC, this was the clear answer: “I have a completely different feeling at NAC. I’m under contract with NAC, but you never know what can happen in the transfer window. My feeling lies with Emmen.” When asked whether the striker might have preferred to stay in Emmen, the striker’s answer was clear. “Yes, afterwards. I got a very good feeling at this club in a short time. At NAC it is a bit less. That doesn’t mean I don’t have a feeling for NAC, but that’s something more with Emmen.”

The club management of NAC has announced that they will finish the last part of the season without being a striker. “Jeredy Hilterman is immediately excluded from the group as a result of verbal expressions during the championship party of FC Emmen. His behavior does not help in the group process with a view to reaching and being successful in the playoffs. That is why Jeredy will not participate in group activities for the time being,” reads the statement from the club from Breda. The club will play another away game at Excelsior, after which the play-offs for promotion/relegation places will start. Qualification for the play-offs is almost certain for NAC after last Friday’s 3-0 win over TOP Oss, which are three points above De Graafschap. If Almere City fails to make up two points in the period at Eindhoven, the team from Breda has already been placed for the play-offs.
