Mitchel Bakker will be in the base on Wednesday-evening in the semi-final of the Champions League against Manchester City. The twenty-year-old left back is rather surprisingly preferred to Layvin Kurzawa and has the difficult task to stop Riyad Mahrez tonight. The kick-off in the Parc des Princes is at 9 p.m.

PSG also has captain Marquinhos, who was out for weeks, back in the base. Marco Verratti is also in midfield at PSG. The 28-year-old Italian had to miss the diptych with Bayern Munich in the previous round due to a corona infection and now forms a midfield with Leandro Paredes and Idrissa Gueye.

Julian Draxler, who had a starting place twice more against Bayern, will be the child of the account of Verratti’s return to the starting team. Draxler has to give up his place on the left side of the attack to Neymar, who was still number ten in the double confrontation with Bayern. Kylian Mbappé and Ángel Di María are the other two attackers for PSG.

On the side of Manchester City, it is striking that the right-legged João Cancelo is set up as a left back. The Portuguese is preferred to Oleksandr Zinchenko and Benjamin Mendy. Josep Guardiola once again opts for Bernardo Silva as a false striker, leaving Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling on the bench. Phil Foden plays as a false left winger, while Mahrez faces Bakker.
