Mino Raiola has expressed his dissatisfaction with the state of affairs regarding Italy’s Nations League match against Spain (1-2). The supporters present in San Siro targeted Gianluigi Donnarumma, client of Raiola, before, during and after the game. Donnarumma made the switch from Milan to Paris Saint-Germain this summer and he was once again not thanked for that on Wednesday evening. According to Raiola, the blame for the events lies with Milan and the club should have done more to protect the goalkeeper.

Raiola is particularly disgusted by the fact that a banner was hung on a bridge in Milan by the hard core of AC Milan in the run-up to the semi-finals. It said that the goalkeeper was never welcome in Milan again. “I’m not just disgusted by the booing against Gigio“, Raiola tells the day after Italy’s lost semi-final against Corriere dello Sport. “I wonder: Why didn’t Milan make an effort to intervene and distance themselves from the dispute to defend him? Especially after that banner appeared on a bridge in Milan. Did he kill someone? I don’t know. “

According to Raiola, Milan was unable to keep Donnarumma, who left on a free transfer, for the club. “Ask a father what he would recommend to his son: stay in Milan or go to Paris Saint-Germain?”, the striking agent continues. “It is very sad, strange and shameful what happened in the stadium. It is shameful that some of the fans took it out on a boy who did nothing wrong. He simply exercised his right to free choice. Gigio is a man who has always given everything for the national team and contributed to the victory of the European Championship.”

Raiola had therefore expected that Milan would distance themselves from the incidents in San Siro. “It’s very strange that the fans just take it out on him, because if a player makes these choices, the responsibility also lies on the other side,” the representative believes. “I find it equally strange and disappointing that Milan, who knows the truth, did not distance himself from this unacceptable and unfair behaviour. This has not done the world any good.”
