Mino Raiola could play a crucial role in Donyell Malen’s transfer to Borussia Dortmund. The Telegraph comes with the news on Wednesday evening that the agent owns ‘a substantial percentage of the transfer rights’ of the PSV attacker. It was also Raiola who managed to bring the Arsenal from Malen to the Eindhoven club in 2017 for a modest transfer fee.

It remains to be seen whether Raiola will use Malen’s transfer rights in negotiations with the Dortmund board. For the time being, the focus is on reaching an agreement between BVB and PSV about the transfer fee. The German superpower is willing to deposit 25 million euros for Malen, who is fixed in Eindhoven until mid-2024. PSV, however, is betting on a transfer amount of at least thirty million euros for the 22-year-old attacker. Stadium, although Malen has already reached a personal agreement with Dortmund.

Malen has long been in the picture at Dortmund, which have been looking for an attacking reinforcement since Jadon Sancho was sold to Manchester United. The Englishman is leaving for Old Trafford for a maximum of 95 million euros. Part of those millions is invested in a replacement. Because the choice has fallen on Malen, Dortmund is no longer interested in Noni Madueke, as you know BILD to report on Wednesday.

PSV is taking the departure of Malen into account. The striker, like Denzel Dumfries, has been given permission to talk to interested clubs. “We are kept informed by Mino Raiola, their agent”, technical manager John de Jong told Football International. “They know what we want and we have given these players the space to talk to interested clubs. If they come to an agreement, the club in question will report to us.”
