La Gazzetta dello Sport shows off on his front page on Friday morning with Cristiano Ronaldo. The pink sports newspaper writes that agent Jorge Mendes has been commissioned to conduct exploratory talks about a return to Manchester United. The 36-year-old Ronaldo would have decided for a number of reasons that next summer should be the time to leave Juventus.

Ronaldo is not satisfied with Juventus’ performance this season. La Vecchia Signora occupies fourth place in Serie A, trailing 11 points behind leader Internazionale, giving the Italian national title a different winner than Juventus for the first time in years. The team of trainer Andrea Pirlo also stranded in the eighth final of the Champions League against FC Porto and Ronaldo has little confidence that the current situation will improve quickly due to the financial consequences of the corona pandemic.

There has been speculation about Ronaldo’s departure for some time, as Juventus would like to ditch the expensive Portuguese attacker to make room in the budget. It is one of the reasons his name has been associated with a return to Real Madrid in recent weeks. Florentino Pérez, president of the Royal, ruled out a return to Bernabeu. “I love Ronaldo and he has given Real Madrid a lot, but it makes no sense. There is no logic, ”said Pérez in the program El Chiringuito.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who still played with him, would like to bring Ronaldo to Manchester United. La Gazzetta dello Sport writes, however, that a return to the club where the Portuguese played between 2003 and 2009 is not self-evident. Manchester United is also feeling the financial consequences of the corona pandemic, which will force Ronaldo to hand in to return to the Premier League. Ronaldo reportedly earns 31 million euros a year at Juventus and is still fixed until mid-2022.
