Memphis Depay is in full preparation for the semi-final of the European Championship with the Dutch national team, but according to Italian media, he is also concerned with his future after the final tournament. Calciomercato and Tuttosport report that Memphis has made his salary demands known to AC Milan and AS Roma.

Memphis is officially a free agent after leaving Atlético Madrid, so the question is where the Dutch striker will continue his career. According to the Italian media mentioned above, Memphis' entourage has approached Milan and Roma, who have been told that the Moordrechter wants five million euros per season.

That salary is still too much for the Italian top clubs, which is why the interest has cooled for now. It is possible that Milan and/or Roma will return to Memphis later in the summer, who then seems to have to make concessions to realize a transfer to Milan or Rome.

Milan is looking for two new strikers, as it only has one pure number nine in Luka Jovic. The Serbian had to make do with a role on the back plan last season and so Milan wants to bring in a few more guns to fully participate in the battle for the national title next season.

It is known that Milan had set their sights on Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee. For a long time, a deal seemed imminent, but the hefty commission that the Schiedammer's entourage asked for was too much for the club. Zirkzee is now well on his way to Manchester United and Milan has already confirmed through technical advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic that the book on Zirkzee is closed.

For Milan, Álvaro Morata seems to be the priority at the moment. The captain of Spain is said to be controversial at Atlético Madrid, which is why Milan wants to try to recruit the 31-year-old Madrid native. Milan has also been offered Tammy Abraham, but Milan does not want to meet the asking price of 25 million euros that Roma is using.

Roma in turn hopes to strengthen itself with former FC Groningen striker Alexander Sørloth, but in Giallorossi have not yet been able to reach an agreement with Villarreal, where the Norwegian is under contract until mid-2028. Villarreal are reportedly willing to let him go for 30 million euros, while Roma currently do not want to go further than 20 million.
