Memphis Depay has received a lot of praise following a photo that appeared on social media after the match between the Netherlands and Montenegro (4-0). The attack leader of the Dutch can be seen in the photo talking to a sick the Dutch supporter, who was able to visit the Philips Stadium thanks to the Ambulance Wish Netherlands Foundation. “Let’s have a discussion. Nice man,” writes Neal Petersen, whose photo has been well received on Twitter.

“Great person, Memphis. Not just for this. His heart is in the right place,” wrote one tweeter. Rik Elfrink, PSV watcher on behalf of the Eindhovens Dagblad, writes on the platform that he thinks it is great that there is a lot of attention for the photo. “Of course thanks to Memphis Depay, but also thanks to Jan van Geffen and Riny Pasmans. Two men who have also been doing important work in the background at PSV for years.”

Depay was important for the the Dutch on Saturday evening with two goals. He earned a penalty and then shot himself from eleven meters. The Barcelona striker also signed for the 2-0. The final score was determined by hits from Georginio Wijnaldum and Cody Gakpo. Depay also made a striking appearance in the second half when a young supporter ran onto the pitch and had his picture taken with the player.
