The line-up of the Dutch national team for the second European Championship match has been announced. As announced, Matthijs de Ligt is in the base at the Dutch and is the replacement for Jurriën Timber, who moves to the bank. The other ten names are the same as last Sunday against Ukraine (3-2 win). The match starts at 9 p.m. in the Johan Cruijff ArenA, which will again be filled with sixteen thousand spectators, and is led by Israeli Orel Grinfeld, who whistled Poland – Netherlands (1-2) in the Nations League last year.

De Ligt has fully recovered from a groin injury, sustained during the the Dutch training camp in Lagos, Portugal. The defender skipped the first group match against Ukraine (3-2 win) because the medical staff did not want to take any risks. “De Ligt is just in very good shape, has trained well and has indicated that he is completely ready,” said De Boer on Wednesday, without wanting to indicate who had to make way for the Juventus defender.

De Boer sticks to the 3-5-2 system, as the national coach calls the formation himself. Goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg finds three center defenders in front of him. De Ligt forms that three-man defense together with Stefan de Vrij and Daley Blind. The wing positions in midfield are occupied by Denzel Dumfries and Patrick van Aanholt, while Marten de Roon, Georginio Wijnaldum and Frenkie de Jong are in the axis of the field. The attack is formed by Wout Weghorst and Memphis Depay.

First place in Group C
After the 2-1 defeat of North Macedonia earlier today against Ukraine, the Netherlands can secure the first place in Group C with a win over Austria. The the Dutch will play against the number three in the eighth finals in the group win on June 27 in the Hungarian capital Budapest. from Group D, E or F.

Austria is missing Marko Arnautovic. The attacker, who put the 3-1 final score on the scoreboard in the group match against North Macedonia as a substitute, has been suspended due to a verbal failure after his goal. Stefan Lainer and another substitute, Michael Gregoritsch, accounted for the remaining goals of Franco Foda’s team in the first group match. It is striking that star player David Alaba seems to move from the left back position to the left side of the attack.

Netherlands setup: Stekelenburg; Dumfries, De Ligt, De Vrij, Blind, Van Aanholt; De Roon, Wijnaldum, F. De Jong; Weghorst, Depay

Austria line-up: Bachmann; Lainer, Dragovic, Hinteregger, Ulmer; Laimer, Schlager; Sabitzer, Baumgartner, Alaba; Gregoritsch
