Mario Been thinks that Jens Odgaard would not look out of place at Feyenoord. The analyst says in the program Good morning Eredivisie from ESPN that he found the 22-year-old attacker ‘unbelievable’ to play in the match between NEC and RKC Waalwijk (1-1). The people from Brabant are renting Odgaard this season from the Italian Sassuolo.

“Odgaard was good again, wasn’t it?”, Hans Kraay junior opens in the talk show. Odgaard showed himself a number of times in De Goffert with good actions, although in the end he was not directly involved in a goal. “Odgaard was unbelievable,” said Been. “This boy has made a fantastic development. He puts people in front of the goal. I can imagine that Joseph Oosting was dissatisfied afterwards that they did not win that match, because they had opportunities to win that match.”

“I really think he’s a player who in my view… He’s from Sassuolo and has been loaned out three or four times,” Been continues. Odgaard was taken away from Lyngby BK by Internazionale when he was eighteen. Sassuolo picked him up in Milan a year later, but the Danish attacker has so far played one game in the first team there. Odgaard is now working on his fourth rental period at RKC, having previously played temporarily for sc Heerenveen, FC Lugano and Pescara.

“Soon he will have to make a certain choice. But in the sub-top, and I also mention Feyenoord, he would certainly not look out of place in the Netherlands. If Guus Til had to go back, I would certainly dare to put him there,” said Been. Odgaard – on behalf of RKC for the time being good for 10 goals and 3 assists in 26 official games – has a contract with Sassuolo for the time being until mid-2023. Feyenoord is renting Guus Til from Spartak Moscow this season, without an option to buy.
