Marco Reus will leave Borussia Dortmund after twelve years, the German club reports through official channels. His expiring contract will not be extended and so a great era will come to an end BVB.

“Dear supporters, for twelve years I was allowed to play in this beautiful stadium and I gave half my life for this club,” Reus begins in a farewell video. “We have experienced many ups and downs, but the club and I have come to the decision not to renew my contract.”

“I am very grateful that I was able to play for this club. It was very important for me to be the first to report this news to you,” said Reus, who still has a big goal for the rest of the season.

“We want to go to Wembley and we want to bring the big trophy to Dortmund. This decision allows us all to focus on that important objective.”
