MANCHESTER United’s young striker Mason Greenwood wants to “break records and be remembered forever”, reports AP.

Greenwood expressed this wish after his first call-up for England’s senior team at the age of 18.

Reward

This is for the Three Lions’ Nations League matches on Thursday against Iceland and on Sunday against Ukraine.

The young sensation was rewarded for an impressive season in which he scored 17 goals in all competitions for the Red Devils.

“It is a dream come true to be selected for England,” said a delighted Greenwood.

“Of course every young player wants to break records and make history. If not, there is something wrong with you.

“The ideal is always to have ambition and vision in life.

“It is important to set goals for yourself in life. This basically applies to any attacker from England.

“I want to represent my country and break records so that I can be remembered forever.”

No youngster has scored more goals than Greenwood in a single season.

Pass

Greenwood’s goal-scoring prowess drew him with formidable players such as George Best, Brian Kidd and Wayne Rooney.

The English Premier League’s all-time record scorer, Alan Shearer, predicts that Greenwood will exceed his total of 260 goals.
