David Hancko has appeared on Manchester United's radar, reports Manchester Evening NewsThe English are open to the arrival of a replacement for Tyrell Malacia, who has been struggling with a knee injury for more than a year.

Malacia appeared on the training field for the first time in 14 months ten days ago, but did not board the plane to the United States on Wednesday, where the club is holding part of its training camp.

Manchester United know that it may take some time before Malacia is 100 percent fit and ready to play again, which is why they are now considering alternatives on the transfer market. One of the serious options is Hancko, who previously indicated to Slovakian media that he is open to a step up.

It is not yet known to what extent the interest is currently serious. In addition to Hancko, Manchester United is also considering Marcos Alonso, who left FC Barcelona on a free transfer this summer and has already gained the necessary Premier League experience at Chelsea.

Hancko is still contracted to Feyenoord until mid-2028, but the chance that he will serve out his contract seems almost impossible. Hancko has also been linked to Atlético Madrid for some time, where he could succeed Mario Hermoso, who left on a free transfer.

Manchester United had to do without Luke Shaw for a while at the beginning of last season, after which the club decided to rent Sergio Reguilón from Tottenham Hotspur. A similar scenario could possibly unfold this summer with Hancko, although Feyenoord will not be open to a loan.
