Manchester City is considering bringing Sávio Moreira de Oliveira, or Sávio for short, to the Etihad Stadium, it writes The Athletic Friday. The winger is currently under contract with Girona, which, like Manchester City, is part of the City Football Group. A transfer from Sávio to Manchester therefore seems a realistic scenario.

“Girona winger Sávio would be a fairly easy signing, as he plays for Manchester City's subsidiary club,” writes the English-language medium. The Brazilian also recently spoke positively about a switch to the Citizens.

Sávio can play on both the left and right flanks. In addition, he has also operated sporadically from a central position on the field. This versatility is appreciated by Manchester City, although the club's technical management mainly sees a winger in Sávio.

If the reigning national champion of England actually decides to attract the Brazilian youth international, the club will not be able to strengthen itself with the attacker until next summer at the earliest. The transfer market closed in most countries on the night from Thursday to Friday.

Sávio will play for Girona this season, which rents the player from the French Troyes. That club is also part of the City Football Group. In France, the left leg still has a contract until mid-2027 Transfer market Sávio represents a transfer value of 30 million euros.

Last season, the winger played for PSV on a rental basis. Partly due to injuries and the world championship with Brazil Under 20, Sávio only made eight appearances in the main squad of the Eindhoven team. He did not score, but he did provide two assists.

He played more matches for Jong PSV. On behalf of the promising team, Sávio played nine matches, in which he was good for two goals and two assists.
