Tottenham Hotspur has the best chance of taking over Gareth Bale on a rental basis, reports ESPN. The Times and Cadena Ser reported earlier on Tuesday that the attacker has changed his mind and wants to leave Real Madrid. Manchester United seemed to have good papers to snare the Welshman, but according to ESPN is Tottenham’s favorite.

The winger said earlier that he would like to serve out his contract and thus keep his million-dollar salary in Madrid, but now Bale would be open to a new adventure. United, however, sees Bale as a second option after Jadon Sancho. Borussia Dortmund demands a towering transfer fee of around 110 million euros for the young assailant, which means that the Red Devils might end up at Bale.

Bale’s net salary of fifteen million euros could still be a major obstacle for both Tottenham and United. According to ESPN the assailant is looking at a one-year lease. The renting club has to take over part of Bale’s salary in a transfer. The routinier has two more seasons at the Royal.
