Manchester United will make an offer of 50 million pounds, the equivalent of 58 million euros, to Chelsea in the short term, it reports The Telegraph. The Red Devils want to take over Mason Mount in return and are confident they can negotiate a quick deal. Chelsea are expected to struggle, but at the same time are almost forced to say goodbye to the midfielder.

Manchester United’s interest in Mount has been known for some time. Erik ten Hag considers the 24-year-old midfielder the ideal ‘number 8’ in his team, who should add more dynamism than is currently available. Mount is versatile and can also play at 10 or even in one of the positions in the front, which makes him extra interesting for Ten Hag. Reported on June 1 The Telegraph incidentally, that Mount personally agrees with Manchester United.

Chelsea would rather not lose Mount, but the 36-time English international has a contract that expires next year. The Blues cannot afford a transfer-free departure from the former Vitessenaar given the Financial Fair Play rules. In fact, Chelsea must make a transfer hit before the end of this financial year (on June 30), after spending no less than 700 million euros during the past two windows.

Harry Kane
United’s biggest goal over the next transfer window is to bring in Harry Kane. However, it is expected in Manchester that Tottenham Hotspur will do everything possible to prevent the Premier League’s top scorer from going to Old Trafford. Like Mount, Kane also has a contract that expires next year, which he is not expected to renew. Real Madrid will, according to, among others, the Spanish Relev report for Kane, who should succeed Karim Benzema. The latter will leave the Spanish capital, it was officially confirmed on Sunday, and will probably go to Saudi Arabia.
