Real Sociedad and Valencia drew goalless in LaLiga on Sunday evening. In an unexciting game, both teams failed to find the goal: 0-0. Jasper Cillessen had a starting spot, was important with a great save and was voted man of the match afterwards. Due to the draw, Real Sociedad was unable to take the lead from Real Madrid. Real Sociedad remains second with 29 points from 14 matches, while Valencia remains in tenth place with 18 points from 14 matches.
Valencia mainly left the ball to the home team in the opening phase. However, Real Sociedad failed to express the predominance of ball possession in a goal. After twenty minutes of play, neither team had even scored a single shot on goal. With half an hour on the clock, the home fans screamed for a penalty when Dimitri Foulquier held onto Alexander Isak within the box. Referee Mario Melero López did not want to hear anything.
It was again the signal for Real Sociedad to look for the opening goal. Isak got a good opportunity to get the ban for los Txuri Urdin to break, but Cillessen got in the way with an excellent save.
