Luis Suárez keeps scoring for Inter Miami. On Saturday, the Uruguayan striker was again of great value to his team, scoring twice against DC United. The match ultimately ended 1-3, making Inter Miami the leader of the Eastern Conference in the MLS for the time being.

Suárez was signed by Inter Miami this winter, and before Saturday had already scored four goals and five assists in six official matches. Nevertheless, he started on the bench on Saturday. Lionel Messi was completely missing due to an injury.

With a hard diagonal shot, Jared Stroud gave DC United the lead after just fifteen minutes of play. The assist came from former Eredivisie player Mateusz Klich.

Ten minutes later, Inter Miami leveled. While falling, Federico Redondo managed to get the ball ready for Leonardo Campana, and the latter scored: 1-1.

After more than an hour of play, Suárez came on and didn't need long to give the visitors the lead. After a nice counter over several discs, he tapped in the 1-2 from close range.

Five minutes before the end, Suárez also made it 1-3. Diego Gómez won the ball from the DC United defense, and then passed it to the striker. He made it unnecessarily difficult for himself, but eventually found the net with some help from the goalkeeper.

That also turned out to be the final score. DC United also ended the game with ten men, after a red card for Pedro Santos just before the end.
