Lucas Biglia continues his career in Turkey. The Argentinian midfielder was transfer free after leaving AC Milan and was presented to Fatih Karagümrük on Monday. The 34-year-old Biglia has signed for two seasons, which means that he will be stuck with his new club until mid-2022.

Fatih Karagümrük promoted to the second level of Turkey in 2019. Last season another promotion was forced because in the post-competition Adana Demirspor was finally defeated with penalty kicks. In order to play a significant role in the Turkish Süper Lig next season, the PhD student already received several reinforcements. Among others left back Jure Balkovec (Hellas Verona), centre defender Enzo Roco (Besiktas), striker Mevlüt Erdinc (Fenerbahçe) and right back Eric Lichaj (Hull City) were recruited transfer free.

Biglia is the biggest name that Karagümrük knows how to incorporate. The 58-time international made a name for himself at Anderlecht between 2006 and 2013, after which he played for Lazio and AC Milan. After last season he said goodbye to the San Siro and opted for a new adventure in Turkey, where he will play together with Brahim Darri. The Dutch outdoor player previously played for Vitesse, De Graafschap, FC Den Bosch and NEC. He has been under contract with Karagümrük since last year.
