Quinten Timber will be on the training field with the Dutch national team on Sunday. The brother of the Dutch international Jurriën Timber has been brought to the group by national coach Louis van Gaal for training. Van Gaal wants to perform a practice form on Sunday where an extra player is needed and the choice has fallen on the FC Utrecht midfielder, who is transferred from the Dutch Juniors.
Twenty-year-old Timber was already present in Zeist at Jong Oranje. “He was the best there. And we are doing a practice form today where we need an extra player,” Van Gaal is quoted by Maarten Wijffels, reporter for the General Newspaper. Timber will not be on the training field with all the Dutch internationals on Sunday. Only the reserves train outside on Sunday. The basic players who won 4-0 against Montenegro on Saturday evening are recovering in the gym.

The training will be led on Sunday by assistant national coach Henk Fraser. Virgil van Dijk (half-time) and Daley Blind (suspended) did not play on Saturday and therefore appeared on the training field with the reserves. Van Gaal already revealed on Saturday after the victory over Montenegro that Van Dijk will return to the base against Turkey.
