Johan Bakayoko is on the list of several top clubs for the coming transfer period. Patrick Berger reports this Sky Deutschland. Liverpool, Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund, among others, are said to be keeping a close eye on the twenty-year-old Belgian from PSV.

“Johan Bakayoko is one top target for top European clubs next summer,” Berger said on X. “Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund are keeping a close eye on his situation.”

“He still has a contract until 2027, without a departure clause. Price tag: 50 to 60 million euros. A bid from Brentford of 40 million euros last winter was rejected by PSV,” the journalist continues.

Brentford would also have liked to bring Bakayoko to the Premier League last summer. The club reportedly made an offer of 35 million euros, which was rejected by PSV.

Later Bakayoko entered into discussions with the Belgian branch of RTL announced that he had already decided before the start of that transfer summer that he wanted to stay at PSV.

“I had already decided that before the start of the summer. I wanted to go to the Champions League with PSV and play for the championship with PSV,” he said in September.

That championship seems likely to happen. Leader PSV currently has ten points more than nearest attacker Feyenoord in the Eredivisie, with eight matches to go. Bakayoko himself has scored eight goals and thirteen assists in forty official matches so far this season.
