Lille OSC can call itself national champion of France again after ten years. The team of trainer Christophe Galtier made no mistake in the away match against Angers on Sunday evening and thus ended up ahead of Paris Saint-Germain, which itself at the same time as the winner at Stade Brest and finished one point behind the Northern French: 82 for 83 points. . AS Monaco is entering the Champions League preliminary round thanks to third place, 78 points. Olympique Lyon finished fourth thanks to a nasty home defeat against OGC Nice, 76 points, and must therefore settle for the Europa League.

Angers – Lille OSC 1-2
The start of the visitors, with Sven Botman in the base, was there. After nine minutes, Renato Sanches suddenly accelerated, he could not get rid of the ball and he gave a smart through pass. Jonathan David escaped the offside trap and shot the ball low behind goalkeeper Paul Bernardoni: 0-1. In the extra time of the first half, the 0-2 fell. David contacted Bernardoni when he had actually played the ball too far ahead of him and the referee fell for it. Burak Yilmaz then did not fail from eleven meters.

That eventually seemed to be the final score in Angers, where the scoreboard only started moving again in extra time. Angelo Fulgini’s goal, however, was one for the statistics: 1-2. Lille closes the season with the best defense in Ligue 1: only 23 conceded goals in 38 matches (versus 28 from PSG). The Parisians scored no less than 22 goals more than the national champion. Lille last took the league title in 2010/11 and afterwards PSG could call itself the best club in France after two seasons. In 2011/12 Montpellier was the surprising champion and in 2016/17 AS Monaco won the honor.

Stade Brest 0-2 Paris Saint-Germain
Mauricio Pochettino’s team went into halftime with a minimal lead, but was already aware of the state of play in the Lille match at that time. PSG left a big chance of 0-1 after almost twenty minutes when a clear foul on Ángel Di Maria led to a penalty kick. Goalkeeper Gautier Larsonneur challenged Neymar by standing more to the left corner, after which the Brazilian finally pushed the ball next to the right post after a slow run.

PSG took the lead after 37 minutes when Di Maria got the ball into the goal from a corner, courtesy of Romain Faivre. He changed the course of the ball in such a way that he left Larsonneur behind: 0-1. In the second half, PSG wanted to at least secure the victory, although the home team did not cooperate at all. In the end it was Kylian Mbappé who put the 0-2 on the scoreboard after preparatory work by Di Maria. The developments in Angers, however, were a drag for PSG.

Olympique Lyon – OGC Nice 2-3
The home team started energetically with Nice, which was 1-0 behind after fifteen minutes of play. Memphis Depay, who last wore the Lyon match shirt, had a measured cross from the left side of the field on Karl Toko Ekambi. The winger extended the ball with his head and outwitted Walter Benítez. After half an hour of play, the visitors came alongside. Pierre Lees-Melou served with a sharp through ball Kasper Dolberg, who could slide into the leather at the second post: 1-1. Five minutes before the half-time signal, Lyon again took the lead.

Depay made it to the back line on the left side of the sixteen and again produced a nice cross, which was nodded in by Ekambi: 2-1. A little later Houssem Aouar even thought he would score the 3-1, but his goal was rejected due to offside. After tea, it was Nice’s turn. In the fiftieth minute Hassane Kamara got the falling ball in front of his feet about thirty meters from the enemy goal and then found the right intersection with a devastating shot: 2-2. After an hour of play, the visitors put the final score on the scoreboard. From a free kick from the left, Amine Gouiri served William Saliba, who was able to nod in the 2-3 at the far post. Lyon no longer came alongside and ended in fourth place in the rankings due to the defeat.

RC Lens – AS Monaco 0-0
The Monegasken seemed to get off to a good start, as Benoît Badiashile found the net after only ten minutes of play. However, the defender scored from an offside position: goal rejected. After the opportunity, Monaco remained the parent, but the team was careless with the created opportunities. Ten minutes before the final whistle, Wissam Ben Yedder made a serious contribution; his header went just over. On behalf of Lens, Seko Fofana came close to a goal, but he hit the left post with his bet from within the box. The score on the scoreboard did not change anymore.
