Lamine Yamal wrote history before the start of the Spain – Croatia match. FC Barcelona's super talent is 16 years and 338 days old, making him the youngest ever player at a men's European Championship. Yamal also does this on the birthday of his father, Mounir.

With his upcoming minutes at the European Championship, Yamal will dethrone former Vitesse striker Kacper Kozlowski. The Pole was just 17 years and 246 days old at EURO 2020 when he made his appearance for the national team. Jude Bellingham (EURO 2020, 17 years and 349 days) drops to third place.

Spain kicks off against Croatia at 6:00 PM and starts with Unai Simón on goal. The defense is formed by Dani Carvajal, Robin Le Normand, Nacho Fernández and Marc Cucurella. The midfield is formed by Pedri, Fabián Ruiz and Rodri.

In the front, Yamal (right) and Nico Williams (left) have to reach striker Álvaro Morata. National coach Luis de la Fuente keeps Alejandro Grimaldo, Aymeric Laporte, Dani Olmo, Mikel Oyarzabal and Joselu on the bench.

For the Croats, old master Luka Modric is in midfield, together with Marcelo Brozovic and Mateo Kovacic. Lovro Majer and Andrej Kramaric are on the flanks to support striker Ante Budimir, who has been hot for Osasuna this season.

At the back there is a starting place for Ajax player Josip Sutalo, who forms the heart of the defense with Marin Pongracic. Josip Stanisic and Josko Gvardiol are the backs of national coach Zlatko Dalic. Premier League players Borna Sosa and Luka Ivanusec start on the bench.
