There are new developments in the notorious case surrounding Zakaria Labyad, reports the General Newspaper. Contractor Hocein Zouhri, who filed a report against, among other things, the attacker of Ajax, does not receive all camera images of the incident in which Labyad was also involved, despite summary proceedings. The security company responsible for the cameras argues that there are no additional images and the judge agrees with that story. Zouhri now has to make do with a minute of film that is already in the possession of his legal adviser Karim Aachboun.

Zouhri tried to get hold of the images of the assault incident at Labyad’s home earlier this month through summary proceedings. The images were made by cameras in the possession of the Ajax player and the images in question had already been assigned to the contractor by the judge at an earlier stage. Some time later, however, the security company comes up with the story that there are no images or that they have not been preserved. Zouhri did not believe this explanation and therefore went to court, which now rules that if there are no images, then nothing needs to be provided to the contractor.

Labyad interrogated as a suspect after violent incident with contractor

The incident took place in July 2020, but didn’t make the news until October of this year. The Ajax player and some family members are said to have beaten and threatened Zouhri after arguing about an unpaid bill. The contractor performed various work on Labyad’s villa, but that was reportedly not as the reserve player of Ajax had in mind. Zouhri came to redress when he was unable to reach Labyad and the confrontation at the residence eventually escalated. The footage allegedly captured the contractor being threatened with a firearm. Labyad in turn reported trespassing and threats.

It remains to be seen what the next step of the Public Prosecution Service will be in this case. Zouhri hopes that the minute of film that his legal adviser already has in his hands will lead to the prosecution of Labyad and his relatives. Incidentally, these are images made with a telephone of the security screen. The not-too-sharp images show that a man leaning against a car is surrounded by a group of people. There are some blows. Labyad also briefly appears on the screen, although it is difficult to see exactly what he is doing.

According to Aachboun, the investigation into the incident at Labyad’s villa is in full swing. “According to the latest reports, all interrogations have now been taken. The client therefore looks forward to the prosecution decision with confidence,” Zouhri’s lawyer said in a short response to the court on Friday. General Newspaper.
